I have been running pretty seriously for a couple of years now. I have been fairly injury free. I have completed 3 halfs and one full marathon (this spring). I have what appears to be a bone or something that now sticks out a little, just below my left ankle. I am still able to run, but my shoes are always hitting that spot. I second layer of socks helps a bit. Anything else that I can do?

You have a tendon in that area, all you need to do is ice it, and stretch it. I went throught the same thing and I would put a small bandaid on it to keep it from rubbing my shoe when I ran. It's just another one of those anoying little aches you will pick up.
