grasshopper
Curious. Suppose you ran as much as you wanted to run(no time limit)...does adding alot of biking miles slow you down? does anyone have any experience with this?
dreamer.

Yes.
I mean, no.
Nice thread.
And once again Mr. Wizard (aka: Stevie Ray) explains the internet.
Absolutely. xristopher would be a 2:10 marathoner if he didn't bike so much.

Only if you bike a lot and hardly run.

Only if you go down and break a leg/toe/foot/hip/knee/dome.
How could you possibly know that?
I guessed.
I try to limit my running to dismounts, barriers, and mounts.....
That has pretty much been my running, of late. And run-ups. And long/deep sandpits.
I do love long deep sandpits...
SELFISH, like you.
It's the inverse of the Paul Ryan Marathon Calculator. You are doomed. Just consider how fast Chrissie Wellington would be if she wasn't busy with those other two hobbies.
Ow...as if falls weren't painful enough already! Too cold for that around here, now.
I like your style!
I do have a thing for funky socks, though...
As does my other half...

Define "a lot" of biking? A lot of biking and improving your running are all relative to your individual take on it.
I can and do bike and run and not have them affect each other, but then again, I'm not attempting to run a 3:30 marathon (or a marathon at all)...
We’ll pick ourselves up. We’ll keep going. We will finish the race.
