I've only ever ran a couple of "long runs" (which mine are 5 miles tops) and I had one last night and it was 3.8 miles at a pretty decent pace for me of a 10:30 mile. I've heard about "recovery runs" or some kind of run you have shortly after your long runs. Could anyone please tell me what this does for you. I'm guessing it makes you recover faster or is there something more specific it helps with?
