Has anyone out there actually torn their plantar fascia? I have been out for 4 1/2 months since doing so. I had ESWT and am hoping that it will heal. I plan to start back VERY slowly. Anyone have any experience with this????

Oldone - if not a tear - it was a severe stretch that caused pain that I have still today. I did take about a month off and have new work shoes (Bunn) that work my arch on a daily basis and I do stretches. keys to recovery - rest, lose weight (causes strikedown issues) and stretch, stretch , stretch. I have all the gizmos, the boot, the stretch sock thing, however, get in the habit of stretching your calf muscles - that is the key to the arch problem, the connectivity etc.. Don't lose faith, it maybe something you never completely overcome, but you can live and run with it! Best of Luck! TB
