Although  not a book,  the story of Terry Fox is worth reading about.

Not sure if this documentary is readily available online, but very worthwhile.

Terry Fox is an Canadian international hero, icon, inspiration...

Steve Nash did a good job on this.

Running Through The Wall is good. A collection of personal stories written by ultra-runners, some well known within that community, and I know of one contributor who visits RA from time to time. I'm not sure I'll ever run an ultra, but reading this book sure gave me an idea of what it might be like. If you want to live vicariously, this is the book.

I'm just finishing Gold Rush by Michael Johnson. He talks to various Olympic Gold Medal winners going into what it takes to be the best in the world.

I'm shocked that no one has mentioned "The Essential Calvin and Hobbes".

There is only one acceptable pace...all out suicide...

...and today is a good day to die!

Just read Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand.  Great book.  Couldn't put it down.

I just finished it, on rec's in this thread, it was certainly eye-opening.  Good one.  Thanks.
