Forums >General Running>Anyone in the Arlington, TX area with a recommendation on good places to run?
Anyone have pizza?
IHi - I'm from out of town (NY) and am looking for places to run in the Arlington, Ft. Worth or Dallas area. Staying in Arlington. Someone mentioned to me about Legacy River Park, but I don't know. Is it too desolate, or is it a safe and a good place to run?

I'm not from the area, but on visits when I've wanted to do something other than run around the streets, River Legacy Park has worked well.
Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.
Although it's a bit far west of Arlington, I enjoyed the Trinity River Trails the last time I visited family there.

Cravens Park attaches to a Linear trail that goes about 6miles each way. All concrete. Are you looking for trails as well? Where in arlington are you? I am in SW Arlington...

North side of Joe Pool Lake. The 4 mile road on top of the dam is closed to traffic, so its an 8 mile out-n-back. Just some runners and a couple of guys on bikes. Since its elevated, the views were great on the morning I was there.

That's exactly what I was going to say.
