Hehe - true - still, I run in that area (the starting line is less than 1/2 mi from my house), the hills aren't too bad, and that's coming from a slow, wimpy runner.

You are, of course, right that going by feel is the correct course of action, it's just my analytical side wanting to know the hard numbers. Too many years of crunching numbers, it's hard to resist...must...stop...and just run...
