This is a follow up to previous post. The problem with my hip was caused by a too sudden increase in speed work. I have plenty of time before my next race, so I'm OK to rest it up. But do you think cycling as a form of cross training might aggravate the condiiton? When I have lower leg or foot problems that are more weight bearing problems by nature, I usually turn to cycling for a good cross train. But cycling can also cause the bursiits. OR Do you think the motion (running) that caused the probelm just needs to be avoided and other exercise that uses repetitive hip motion would be safe cross training?

Try some cycling and see what happens.
