>Racing>Goal of sub 17 minute 5k
I've got a fever...
The only thing I can't do at 34 that I could at 18 is run a 200 in 25-flat. But if 60-mile weeks do the trick then I won't need to..
On your deathbed, you won't wish that you'd spent more time at the office. But you will wish that you'd spent more time running. Because if you had, you wouldn't be on your deathbed.
All my goals come with the disclaimer "if I stay healthy..." because that's been a major issue.
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending. Carl Bard
All it will take is 900 miles over 3 months.
I love it when Len is fired up.
It took me 9 months to go from a PR of 18:50 to get it down to 17:52, running about 175mi/month. I expect it to take another year to get it down to <17. if="" i="" ever="" get=""></17.>
The Logic of Long Distance
Its also huge in terms of time commitment when you work a regular job and have other things going on in your life.
Well, it takes 30 minutes more a day, if that's what you consider a huge time commitment.
On some days I only have a 30-45 minute time window to run in, so thats not gonna happen without doubles.
