100th Marathon! (Read 139 times)

Dream Maker

I tried my first marathon in 2001 when I was 16, but fell behind the 5:00 cutoff and DNF'ed.

I completed my first in 2006.

Came back in 2007, and again in 2008 shortly after giving birth.

Ran a few more in 2009 and came back to the same race to qualify for Boston.

Ran (and walked!) a number others, and some ultras.

Now, this past weekend, I returned to that same marathon to run my 100th marathon/ultra.  Smile

Now I can retire to my couch.

Until Monkey next weekend, at least.

Way to go! I'm running my first in April.

      -Find your happy pace.

        Awsome, congrats!

I completed my first ultra last week and I still feel on top of the world. How cool it must feel to run the 100th race!

Heather,  that is completely amazing!   congrats.   going for  200?

            Nice Job Heather.

Something tells me you won't be spending much time retired on the couch (at least not until you get your run in first)...

I am impressed. I just completed #7, and am on track to complete #100 about when I'm 100.

You can only retire to your couch on factors of 100 - So not only are you foolish for running Monkey, but ou will be committed to 99 more after Monkey.

Long dead ... But my stench lingers !
