IronCowboy - 50/50/50 (Read 161 times)

    50 ironmans

    50 days

    50 states

When your friends think you're crazy for working out too much, remind them that there are crazier people.

This guy is on day 12 of 50 today.  38 more days to go.  38 more states.

But today, he's in Dallas, TX, and we had Tropical Storm Bill, so he spent the day at LifeTime Fitness swimming 2.4 miles, then biking 112 miles.  He's on the treadmill running right now.

I only know of one other guy that can recover from this sort of thing. His name is Kamil Suran. He's really a friend of a friend, but he's done crazy stuff like triple IMs, 10 IM in 10 days, etc.  When he did the 10 in 10, his 10th IM was his fastest.   He has some crazy stories from his endurance events.   I have no idea how these guys do this...

Oh man, I missed the part that he scheduled Texas during Bill.  Whups.

          You adapt and overcome.

          Keep it up, cowboy man.

Day 18 (Tuesday) in Tennessee, he crashed while biking.  As he worded it... "I may or may not have fallen asleep".

Day 19 (Wednesday) in Mississippi, he stayed indoors due to the crash and was forced to do the "marathon" on an elliptical.  There'll be an asterisks with this 50/50/50.

Day 20 (Thursday) in Alabama, I believe he completed outdoor

Day 21 (Today) in Pensacola, Florida.

            --
I believe he's averaging about 14 - 15 hours per day of activity based on his blog reports.

Every day, the community where he is racing / training hosts a 5k fun run at about 7pm.  He's raising money to fight childhood obesity and trying to get people to be active.

He'll be along the east coast the next 2 weeks.
