That was so heart warming Wonderful race report, and wonderful race!! It sounds like a perfect first HM --- you have a wonderful attitude towards running and racing, and I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing about your future races ! Did you get those Goody stay put elastics in your race goody bag? I got a couple for the Baltimore Half, and I LOVE them! I'm looking for the clips now, too.
Congrats on your first Half! It was a great day to race. Very nice report. Unfortunately there was a problem with the results for some of us. I ran the Marathon and as of right now I do not appear in the results. The race website also says this: "Question on your results? Send an email to registration@hartfordmarathon.com - include your name, bib number and any pertinent details. Please allow us 48 hours to research your inquiry before contacting us again. Thank you." So apparently I'm not the only one. I just emailed them with all my details so hopefully they sort it out quickly. Other than this I had a great day and ran a good race but this has put a bit of a sour taste in my my mouth for the race...for now.

A few things that I learned from it all.. 1. Listen to the people on RA 2. Starting at the back of the race isn't all that bad because rather than having lots of people pass you, you get to pass lots of people! 3. Chocolate Gu tastes really good mid race 4. for women: Goody stay put hair elastics are the best 5. I now want to do a marathon ( I never had the desire to before)

It was an amazing feeling. I had tears well up because I have never finished something that I started like that.
