Classic bagels come only in plain, salt, sesame and poppy seed. Onion and garlic bagels are acceptable. So too are pumpernickel and rye. But that is it.

I'm with the author on all points, with the possible exception that I like salmon cream cheese.
I should confess, though, that I have probably tasted nothing but "bagels" in my life.
Indeed.
I agree most of the items on the list appear undesirable at a minimum. Although I seem to rarely eat bagels anymore anyway, and almost never eat cream cheese, so maybe I'm not a good judge. OTOH, the chocolate cream cheese, while not belonging on a bagel, seems like it would be good for something. Since chocolate cheesecake is one of the best things in existence.
