Can't import from my Garmin 305 (Read 1785 times)

    Have you tried this?  http://www.runningahead.com/forums/topic/840c976900884858acf5bd45db941b25

I did try that a couple of days ago, Eric. It didn't work for me.

Any idea why I can't log in to my account using Firefox?

I have Firefox installed (ver 3.0.10) and the Forerunner is detected.

However, I cannot log into RA on Firefox. When I enter my email address & password (yes, the correct ones) the site redirects me to this page:

which allows be to view my log, but it won't log me in. It wants me to create an account.

      Chris T,

I'm confused.  Isn't http://www.runningahead.com/logs/95f05d08858847f8945644da0ccec5c4 your log?  Can you include a screen shot so I can see what's going on?

      eric :-)

I have never been able to get the plugin to be recognized in Safari 4.

Plugin works fine on Firefox on OS X though.

Yep, same here. Safari 4 doesn't detect the plugin. Safari 3 worked fine. I'm using Firefox 3 instead now. Works fine. I have the 205.

           Eric-

Yes, it is my log. The problem is that I can't log in in order to add workouts. Here is a screenshot. Notice the pink 'Join Now' tab.

            Chris T,

That is strange!  I'm not sure what to make of it.  Have you tried on other computers and browsers?  (I'm trying to narrow down the problem since I have no idea what's wrong).

              Hi Folks,

I've tried reading through the forum posts, and I'm not sure if I'm having the same problem as the rest of you or not...

I just purchased a 305.  I just download plugin 2.7.3 after downloadig 2.6.4 for my MacOSX (the message was that 2.6.4 was not the most up-to-date version). I am also using Firefox 3.0.11.

When I try to do the GPS import, it says "Cannot find device" even though the Garmin Test Page registered the 305.  At the bottom it also says "Status: Your current Garmin plugin version is 2.7.3.0. You need version 2.6.4".

Do I need to revert back to the 2.6.4 plugin to import my data?

              Thanks!

              eric :)

                rebelsxc,

It looks like Garmin has fixed the problem in 2.7.1.  I have updated the code to exclude the problematic version.  Your plugin should work now.

                eric :-)

                  Thank you!  Works great!

                    Eric,

I'm using safari 4.0.1 and can no longer get back on either.  I downloaded the 2.7.3 Garmin communicator and their test page reads:

Garmin Communicator Plugin is NOT detected

Please help as I loved being able to just plug in and download.

                    -Mike

If you are using Safari 4 Beta and the Garmin Communicator Plugin shows as not being installed (when uploading new or from list), remove "Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Flip4Mac WMV Plugin.webplugin" and restart Safari 4. Flip4Mac will still work without this file.
