I ran fourteen miles today. The best part of those miles were the last ten--I got to run them with my Dad. More thankful than I can explain that I get to share that with him.
"When a person trains once, nothing happens. When a person forces himself to do a thing a hundred or a thousand times, then he certainly has developed in more ways than physical. Is it raining? That doesn't matter. Am I tired? That doesn't matter, either. Then willpower will be no problem." Emil Zatopek

Nice one.
Not dead. Yet.
Got 5 extra in on a planned rest day. Feeling good.
How can we know our limits if we don't test them?
Nice!
About 3.7mi at -5F or so, snowshoe running where I could or packing fresh or unpacked snow on single track. Beautiful clear sunny sky.

13.1 outdoor miles on the nice flat dry and nearly windless trail system here in Eugene, Oregon where I'm visiting with my older sister and mom and other family and friends for the holiday's and mom's 78's D'day. Loved it.; 37 F, and I can't run outdoors like this at home where it's all hills, snow & ice and darkness (before and after work).
Retired & Loving It
Pretty clever there what you did with your route. Do you do that all the time, or just on the holidays? Blessings!
No, this is the first time I've done something like this. I got the idea a couple of weeks ago when I was running the neighborhood streets because I couldn't run all my normal boring routes due to the sidewalks being all under snow and ice. Got me to thinking about what I could "draw".
Thanks for the kind words, all.
