Heard all these noises ... was wondering what the heck DH was up to...because it sounded well bad, if you know what I mean.. Turns out he was exercising... Found him collapsed in my exercise room. I said, "Why were you making all those sounds?" He said that he had been on the elipitical for four miles, ran 1 mile, and was doing ab work. (clearly a bit exhausted) I was shocked as he DOES NOT exercise. I asked him when his first 5K was... No response. Smile

He was sore this morning, yet he ran two miles. I tried to advice him that it was not wise just to go run that far; need to add distance slowly. I am once again considered the wife that knows nothing. Live and learn my dear.

Bugs, don't feel bad. My DH is skinny. But NEVER works out. Drinks eats whatever he wants. He races motorycles, so this ( and chopping wood in the winter ) are the only forms of excercise he gets.
We're going to Alaska this summer ( for 2 months camping, etc ) and he wants to get in shape. But, does not do anything about it! We are suppose to start riding the tandem bike in the evenings, now that it's light out. We'll see.

Skinny and doesn't workout. Ugh. DH put some weight on quiting his tobacoo habit. He is usually a chop firewood or go build something kind of guy..I like that better, gets my projects done.

I'll plant the Runner's World magazines near the beer and see if he takes the bait to get him in that 5K.

Well, for me, it's fun briefly, but then he takes off and I don't see him again until the food tent! Which is kind of discouraging since I run 5 or 6 days a week, and he runs once a week, tops! But I can run farther than he can now, so I should bug him to sign up for a HM with me. Evil grin

Well I am VERY curious what his pace was. But I run a little more miles than 3 miles/week.

Dgb, trust me, he would agree with you.

Cool and fun, but they end up being faster than you ... 'cause they're guys Wink
I am running a Half marathon with mine, the training was fun. We are running the long runs at about the same pace. But otherwise he is building endurance much faster and kicking my butt.

Run whenever you can, walk if you must, crawl if you have to - but never give up! ........

Willa good friend good buddy. Been too long.

Runner, ya I know he'll be faster, but he won't stick with it. The weather will get nice and he'll be outside doing stuff. Plus somebody has to watch the kids.
