Congrats!  I'm one of the 1% that's slower than you. My best 5-mile time is 3 minutes slower than yours, so GOOD JOB. You should have no problem breaking 50 minutes by your birthday. WooHoo!!

There is no such thing as slow.......and your only competition is to make yourself better.....so, if you just finished your 5 miles in record time, then  you're doing a GREAT job of getting better.....

Keep it up......GOOD JOB.....

Congrats!!

Up until last weekend it would have broken my five-mile PR, which stood at 54:33 for the past three years (turns out I don't run that many five-mile races).  You'll be under 50 minutes in no time!

PRs:
5k: 30:30
4-mile: 37:19
10k: 1:00:13
Half Marathon: 2:20:08

Good job and keep up the good work.

Have realized to be successful you only have to toe the line against one person .... That would be yourself.

just tell yourself  next race " Listen old man I am going to beat you (the 50:28 that you just posted)"  can't contyrol/worry about what others can run.

If you sign up for a race you will be down around 45:00 ... trust me!

Almost guaranteed to be true -- cause the crowd and excitement pulls you along just a tad quicker.......You really ought to sign up for a local race -- 5K or 5 Mile.......
