I'm kind of swooning over Tanya's ode as well, even though I wore my ORANGE Sweet Jacket today.
So are eleven of you really that color blind? It's Imperial Blue. I checked Wikipedia (not bhearn's arcane ancient history reference).
I've seen a couple around town. They are Deep Purple.
Deep Purple are in town wearing the sweet jackets? Cool. Their BQs must be about 5 hours now.
Next year the color will be Black Sabbath.
All I know is that for the price of that jacket I can register for Baystate and have enough left over for two 4 packs of a high end double IPA.

If may, I humbly suggest the "flaming dorks" are in last year's model (screaming zonker orange, as I recall) and that this year's bearers might better be described as pompous, or would you prefer pusillanimous? Or both? Strictly tongue-in-cheekily, of course, with no aspersions to perriwinkled among us.
