If there is anywhere to store you Personal Best Times please let me know. At the moment I am keeping them under the Personal Records section, this means that ever time I record a Personal Best I store It under the race section, Is there any chance you could make a separate column for this I do feel that keeping PB’s is an important part of tracking progress.

Thanks

Chris,
Your best times are automatically generated from your races. The best way to visualize your progress is to create graphs. If you plot the duration for all runs of a given type and distance over a range of dates, you'll see the general trend. The personal records page serves a slightly different purpose than what you're looking for.

It would be great if we had the option to include more than just Personal Best times from races. Quite simply - best is best - if I run a distance outside of a race and my time is better than any race time I have at that distance, then I would think the time should be a Personal Best.

Yes that is what I'm thinking all we need is a separate link called Personal Bests , I don't want to mess about with graphs I just want to be able to click and see all my pb's at a glance and like you say sometimes these don't always happen in races but in training runs!

When I moved over from Cool Running I found that if I went back before I ever recorded times on CR and just picked a date say 01/01/1990 and then entered in a new run entry as being a best time race, it loaded it in on the PR spot. As all my PR's are nearly 15 years ago, this worked well for me.

I seem to have found a way round this problem at least for now until the personal record section is introduced. I have set up a new column in the TYPE drop down called Real Race where I will store all my actual races and keep the RACE drop down to store my Personal Best Times, all my actual races will appear in the summery and will appear on the graph in black. I will also enter the races into the course section which will allow me to easily view that particular race information.

I cannot even find where you can enter your race results. Thus nothing is listed under my personal records. Please help! Thanks!

Click on Training Log.

Click on New Run Entry.

Under Type, select Race. You can fill out all your race info then.

If you're running a PB in a training run, you're doing something wrong.

either not racing hard enough, training too hard, or both.

In theory, this comment makes sense, but I will say that there are some excpetions to this rule. For myself, I have never run a race longer than 4 miles, but I have training runs that log up to 12 miles. It is interesting to see what I have run in 9, 10, 11, 12 mile runs even though these runs were training runs. If someone asks me what my fastest 10-miler is, I would reply with my training run time because it is technically my PR even though it is safe to say that a race scenario would be faster.

Just my 2 cents.
