I had cancelled my subscription for a year until a runner friend said, "did you read the XYZ article in RW?!" on a run.

I felt like such a non-runner not being up on the latest rehash of the same old stuff.

      Running Times is much better.

Same here.  Comes natural now, and seems to help.  I did find "in 3 out 2" uncomfortable, though...I use "in 3, out 3, in 3, out 2" which gives the same effect.

Yeah, comes natural to me too. I use longer patterns than you, most of the time. I'm more of a 5/4 when I'm running easy, then move on to 4/3 when I go faster, 3/2 when 4/3 isn't enough (some harder intervals for example), and when 3/2 isn't enough I go to 3/2-2/2 or 2/2-2/1, but can't hold that for long, the end better be near when I go to 2/1 Smile

I have a rather quick turnover rate though, 170-180 when running easy and around 190 when running faster, so maybe that explains a bit the higher numbers for my breathing patterns.

Our local library offers access to RW online. It is the only running magazine they offer but they do have several fitness magazines also. It might be worth checking if you have any digital access through your library. It saves the cost of the subscription.

Or you can stay home and go to runnersworld.com, and get a lot of the same stuff. Also I hear they have a really good forum.

Do you think on some porn forum/log, a similar convo about Juggs is taking place?

I subscribe. The human interest articles are great. I skip over a lot of training stuff, just as I ignore it elsewhere .

I might have different interest, being that I'm a writer, but it's worth my support.
