          I was hoping someone would mention Buster Martin, by favorite 100 year old plumber. When he finished his half marathon he asked, "Where's my beer?'. While one might argue that a 23 minute mile isn't all that great, I'd argue that Buster has bested the toughest competitor of all: Father Time! Go Buster! Hope he does finish the London Marathon.
