First Half Marathon (Read 848 times)

Congrats on your first Half-Mary! Well done on the time, too. What were the course and crowds like?

Thanks Pron8r! Course was nice and flat, with a 1 mile loop followed by 2 laps of a main course. It was supposedly a road race which consisted mainly of pavement [or sidewalk] running. It tended to wind a bit through the town where i live with a few sharp 90 degree turns but that was more than made up for by the stretches along the seafront. Much of it was along my training routes so i was very familiar with those parts of the course. Nice support from spectators and runners families around the start/finish areas and some additional support along the seafront, less so through the town. Support from the marshalls was fantastic. About 1000 runners took part in total...overall an excellent day! Nice medal at the end too!
