I know this is a running website, but I would like to be able to record my cross-training days (e.g. 40:00 bike or 30:00 swim).

Alix,
The training log has a toolbar up top. The first button is "New Run Entry". To its immediate right is a little upside down triangle. If you click on it, you'll get a list of available workouts. They including cycling and swimming. If you want to create workouts not on this list, to go the help page on the upper right hand corner of every page.
