Finished my first marathon yesterday. Just missed my goal time of <4:00.. Finished 4:09.25. I guess its okay, considering I only started running in August 2012 (14 months ago) I was on pace for a 3:45 finish through 16 miles, but the last 10 miles took everything out of me. I am in total agony today, but it was well worth it.

Congrats ckerr! Pretty close to your goal, and, since it was your first, you didn't have a lot to go on. Well-earned pain is good pain, right?

No, you didn't "miss your goal time," you "got a PR!" Smile

And besides any of that, you ran 26.2 miles!! Nothing to sniff at!
