FIRST OFF CONGRATS!!!!! Second offf *run for your life* j/k

Joking aside. Get your sleep and make sure you PAMPER your wife for the next 8 months or so!! ALso make sure you get as much *** as you can cause come month 5 or so, it won't be happening much and after month 7 probably not again until the twins are 6 months old Wink Anyways it shouldn't effect your running for quite awhile though once she gets up to 7 or so months you may want to make sure you always have your cell phone with you! Once the babies are born. Kiss your running goodbye for at least a month or two. Your wife is going to need to as much as possible since she will then be a dairy farm and diapering factory. Seriously, I felt like I spent 24 7 diapering or feeding at least one of them. You probably won't remember much from the first 6 months (its the twin fog that most get from not sleeping)

Congratulations! I don't have twins, but my middle two are 13 months apart, and at times it seemed like I had twins.

I wasn't running when my children were babies so I'm not sure how it could have impacted my training. My guess is that until they are born you won't know what you're up against with how their sleeping patterns will be. MAYBE you'll get lucky and they'll sleep exactly the same regular hours! Big grin

Good luck and please keep us posted!

I USED to think the same thing since my older 3 are all 13 months apart.

Oh WOW! Congratulations to you and your wife. My husband and I tried for 2 years, discovered problems and are now considering adoption, so I understand what it's like to wait and wait. I'm very happy for you and wish you all the luck in the world. You're gonna be busy - but they will be so beautiful it will be worth it.

Thanks again everyone! Pam, did you keep them on the same schedule? I think we read that it's good to do that in order to get more sleep in. Great advice so far, I'm sure I'll have more questions. Big grin

We TRIED! Unfortunately Katie didn't want any part in scheduling Confused I also think it's easier to do if you bottle feed, which I didn't (at least not until they were 6 months).

My wife is about 9 weeks pregnant with twins! Shocked We're extremely happy and excited after having tried (and had a lot of problems along the way) for a year now. I think I'm still in shock! Any advice? Anyone else out there have twins? How will this affect my running?! Big grin

You'll be drinking many more New Castle Brown Ales my friend. In between naps that is. Running... what running? Big grin

    Congratulations! That's so great!

You'll probably have to take some time off from running, but it'll be so worth it, and you'll have plenty of time to get back to the running.
