WohooO! My First 10 Mile Run! (Read 965 times)

I did my first 10 mile run this morning and it was awesome.

Somehow I found the right pace and didn't have to walk, only stopped three times for less than a minute a time to drink a bit of water. It was the best long run I've done in my half marathon training!

    I finished feeling really good!

            Good work.
            Run more.

            Needs more cowbell!

That's a long damned run--especially in the Summer.  And to have paced yourself so perfectly is extra kudos!

Yea Meg!  If your 10 miler is your best run in your half marathon training, that is saying something.  Great work!
Ten is a big milestone, I remember mine like it was yesterday.  Well done, looking forward to hearing about your half!

May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your SPF30, may the rains fall soft upon your sweat-wicking hat, and until you hit the finish line may The Flying Spaghetti Monster hold you in the hollow of His Noodly Appendage.

Great job!  Way to go on the pacing.  I almost did 10 yesterday myself - ended up about 1/4 mile short - and I definitely blew the pacing - started out way too quick and paid the price with several walks in the latter half of the run.  Oh well, that's why it's called training, right?  Keep up the great work and good luck with your half.

                    See how they run...

Nice going, Meg. When is your race?
