Anything from the 5k to marathon. They all have pro's and con's.

Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head." - Joe Henderson

Curses! It seems that would also explain my difficulty with the marathon.

Oh, if we're talking non-distance events mine was the 200. I never did the 400, but now I wish I would have. I think with proper training I could have really killed at that distance. Unfortunately my school had no good coaches for anything shorter than the mile. k

My favorite race is the 5k.
3k! Why? Because that's the distance of the steeplechase! And the 10K always seemed to long for me. That makes me wonder how I'm going to do a marathon this fall.

There was a point in my life when I ran. Now, I just run.

Back beat, the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
