We're probably going to be up there for a few days when I'm training for my 1/2 (yes, it's not until May of next year, but I'm planning ahead) and I'd like to run with a group if there is one.

Utilize this response IN CASE OF EMERGENCY (that is, if no one gives you a real response)
A very popular marathon is held in Scranton each fall: The Steamtown Marathon. Unless a race is one of those rnr-type things (and Steamtown isn't), it is a good bet that the race organizers can help you find local running clubs. Sometimes they are in the club.
You should hook up with them and ask. Check their Contact Us page... they chose a somewhat interesting and horribly generic hotmail address for email correspondence.
The race's home page also mentions an online community for race discussion. I'm quite sure that a post in there would get you what you need. |
