Forums >General Running>Visitor to Woburn
I presume you're visiting Woburn, MA. Don't know of any other cities with the same name. It's a very runnable town. You can just put on your shoes and go. Or try the following.
You can run at Horn Pond. It has several miles worth of trails and black tops:

If you want to run longer, try the Fells. There are many miles of trails there. Don't get lost:

If you want to run with people, you can run with the Shamrock Running Cub. They meet every Tuesday at the Woburn High School, which is near you, at 6:30 PM for track workout. This Thursday, they're meeting at the library at 6:30 for their weekly 5 mile run, which would end at a local pub for drinks after. They do their long runs on Saturday mornings. If you decide to join them, tell them I said hi.

I'm one of those Shamrocks Eric mentioned. Shoot me a PM - might even be able to meet up for a run.
MTA:
Staying at the Hilton for a couple of days. Any advice on places to run or to avoid/ be careful? Hate treadmills and it's 15 degrees cooler than NC! ;-)
What the hell have you heard about Woburn? It ain't South Central.

Don't get lost. Heaven forbid you find yourself in one of the surrounding communities such as Winchester, Lexington, or Reading!

There's a moderately famous safari park in the UK of that name: http://www.woburn.co.uk/safari/
But do they have a Hilton?
