Hello, yes, another new person! I currently run about once a week because on other nights I either go to the gym or do circuit training (I like to have an all over and balanced fitness routine). In December, I want to do a 10km run and currently only do about 6km. Do you recommend following the 10% rule I have seen in other posts for this too? Thanks in advance!

I would definitely be careful when increasing your mileage. Shin splints and other nasties usually remind me when I try to do too much too soon. You might want to get in 2 more runs per week, maybe instead of your circuit training, as you work up to your 10K. Just doing a long run once a week is not the best training plan. Good luck and have fun!
