Oh, and obession is a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.
Roads were made for journeys...
Really? I should slow down during my long runs? Okay, you twised my arm I started running 2 years ago (early 2005). I think (okay, I KNOW) I need to add more track/ treadmill speedwork to my marathon training. Any ideas of where to find a great training schedule (to work on qualifying for Boston)?
To paraphrase an old poster: Today is the first day of the rest of your training. It doesn’t matter where you started or how far you’ve come. Today is the day. Your training didn’t start 6 weeks ago. Your training started the last time you hit the road. John “the Penguin” Bingham Life is not tried, it is merely survived if you're standing outside the fire

Welcome to the club Val!
All runners have this obession/dedication. Either that or we a nuts!! (my wife thinks in my case it is the latter) I prefer to think of myself as nuts.
