Help: Abductor hallucis muscle strain (Read 2590 times)

I have been diagnosed with an Abductor hallucis muscle strain by a podiatrist. I initially went to him for orthotics, and have worn them in my shoes for 10 runs. I have been back and he diagnosed the problem and added a raised pad under the big toe for correction. I have not run for 3 days and in this time have been icing, resting and applying Ibuprofen gel. I would like to here from anyone who has suffered with this injury and any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chris William
