Anybody try the Curves-type treadmill yet?  My gym recently got one.

What's fun is that there's no buttons to push because there's no motor.  It's powered by your running.

What's tricky is keeping a steady pace as it tends to surge with the slightest step on the upcurve.

In a way I'm glad it's not any easier to use so it's usually available.

      Is that a woodway treadmill?

This one is a Curves brand but all the brands I've seen look similar.

There is at least one of those in my university's rec center, but I never see anyone on it. I tried it once long ago, but didn't like it at all without a motor . . .

It's sold by Woodway, but I didn't see a price listed before I left the site.

My gym has a few and I've run on them, but only for one milers.  It's not easy! I start sweating like ten whole men about one minute into my run. But, that tells me that it must be a good workout, and therefore I should do it more often.  Sigh.
