I just checked. It's now 65% full. Trent, that was an entertaining account. "I didn't even know that there was a 3am." I think I'm going to run the marathon in 2009--I'll leave it to some of the other loons here to do the Goofy challenge. I'm goofy, but not that goofy. (Yet! Maybe in 2010?) |

I ran it too! (Report on the Look what I did forum.) Loved sitting around for 3 hours. You beat me by quite a bit. "Bricks" is exactly how I should have described my feet.
You did awesome! Had to be the shorts! See you there next year! |

just catching up on some reading and saw your report Trent. Way to go out there. I have heard Disney is kind of tough as far as the highway miles and the crowded running but I still want to run it one day.
Congratulations. |

| Great job Trent! I ran Disney in 2002 and it poured buckets the whole time. It didn't stop me from running the 1/2 in 2006 though! |

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
The shorts are usually quite popular although I didnt get that many comments during the race. They are actually Rocky shorts. There was a push of new merchandise when the new movie came out and I got them from some online vendor. |

I hope there's a good story about the finger. If not, make one up and tell it at the post race social after the first Good Times race.
Oh, and many congrats on finishing the Marathon. Kathy just asked me this morning if you ran it.

Nice report.
This was my 6th Disney Marathon. You learn not to follow all of their recommendations. I woke up at 3:30 but didn’t get to Epcot until 5. That left me more than enough time to take 1 last bathroom break before heading to the start. Take note that it’s better to use the toilets on the other side of the baggage tents. There are more of them and you don’t have non-runners using them.
There are a few boring stretches in the race but boring only when compared to running through the parks with the big crowds. An ipod comes in handy during the 11-16 and 20-23 parts of the race.
At least the weather cooperated this year. Last years start was 75 and humid.
