    Merry Christmas Everyone;

    I had the good fortune, opportunity and privilege to run in the Hellgate 100K two Saturdays ago. Signature event executed by a first-class organization.

    If interested my website is linked below but be advised this is a long race report:

            Your name seems familiar - But reading results in the Ultra magaizine - Sometimes all names start to seem familiar.

            What other Ultras have you run?

            I am from Neenah, WI

              MTP;

              Thanks for the note; I'll be the first to admit my standard Race report & format is too long but once I get sterted on one, I guess I feel like I owe the rvent the whole body of work and analysis. I've ben on the Ultralist since late 2006 and folks are always looking for information on events as well, so that also plays into how long I write these things.

              Appreciate the link to the RA Ultra forum; I'll be monitoring that too.

              I haven't attempted any midwest ultras other than Arrowhead last year in Minnesota. I've done several all over the east coast now:

              I've done most of the Western new York Ultra series:  http://www.wny-ultra.org/; Viaduct Trail 50 (they only do a 100-200 now); Wakely Dam twice, Virgil Crest when it was the Iroquois 50/100. I did several in the southeast this year while I was spending 4.5 months in school on Fort Gordon, GA: SweetH20 50K; Ouchita 50K, Strolling jim 40, Enoree 40, Rock Creek 26.2, and came up 13 miles short at the OD 100.

              My understanding is that WI has a lot of great events. Great area to get started in ultras.

                Hey, the Viaduct Trail Ultra is directed (is that right Carl?) by our very own (Carl A)!

                  Lot of good Eastern US ultra-runners.  I have spent some time with John Geesler, Phil McCarthy, Dan Rose, Serge Arbona.  I would recognize a few more from out there.

                  Arrowhead is not on my list - I have run a few times with Scott Meyer (Oshkosh) - He was at Arrowhead last year.

                  I have seen Helen Lavin at a few events and logged a couple of miles with her - She kicks ass.

                  Most of the people I just recognize names from results - I think that is how your's seems so familiar.

                  I have never been on ultra-list ... Is it a yahoo group?

                  I am sooooooooooo out of shape right now and I want to have a blast running in 2011, so I have @ 90 days of self abuse and punishment planned - Starting yesterday.  Looking to be in reasonable shape by this

                  April 9th - Its like practically tomorrow.

                  THen I am a lost ship upon the ocean ... but after wandering through unknown races April - July - I need to make it to this port

                  Then likely flounder my way into the end of the year - getting fat and out of shape again.
