I have a small cluster of warts on the bottom of my foot. They are right behind the ball of my foot and usually the don't bother me. Lately I've been able to feel them during my long runs so it's time to do something about them. What do you think is the best treatment for them? Do you think something like Compound W would work on the bottom of a foot?

I used medicated bandages and I believe medication when I got warts as a child.

I remember as a kid using Compound W on the Dr Scholl's wart pads. It will take a while put if you keep at it you can get rid of them. Usually you need a little trimming with a scissors to remove the dead skin and speed the process.

sounds weird but duct tape - apply a piece, press firmly, leave in place as long as it will stay 2-3 days usually w/ showers, when loose take off clean & dry area - apply a new piece. eventually wart death - dry/dead skin will come off like a callous over time or pumice stone the area. worked for my son & others I know.

This WILL sound wierd, but it works...go to your Doctor and tell him you have warts and then tell him you have heard that Climetidine, which is a heart burn medication works (actually a H2 antagonist)...if he agrees your warts should be gone in 2-3 weeks

Duct tape : absolutely.

Cimetidine : only in kids, prepuberty.

A doctor of mine once recommended a paste of baking soda and castor oil held in place with a bandaid. It worked nicely on the warts on my fingers and was much easier on the skin than salicylic acid treatments. That said, I used Occlusal on some finger warts a few years ago, and it also worked very quickly without being as harsh on the skin as other salicylic acid treatments I had tried before.

I had a bad plantar wart when I was a kid and had to have it zapped out with an electrode type device because I putzed around not treating it and let it get so bad. Ouch. Don't wait around.
