Multiple Activity (Running) TYPES in same workout (Read 643 times)

This would be great for days of workouts - to be ablet to assign INTERVALS to specific running TYPES rather then the whole workout to only one type ......

    Example ...

If you wanted to do a workout that involved Threshold and VO2max work = warmup + 4miles threshold + 3x800 VO2max + cooldown

Right now in order to document the mileage correctly and keep accurate metrics on each running TYPE i have to document this into 4 different workouts (3 if you combine the warmup and cooldown)

Being able to put it all in one workout and see the split - you can look at the workout that you actually did as a whole w/ every interval and rest and everything.

    Am I missing a workaround???

btw - runningahead is an AMAZING site and does TONS more than anything out there

I just do the multiple workouts instead of trying to combine them if I want to know specific overall paces (which you can't easily get using the intervals functionality) - if I don't worry about it then I pick the prevelant workout type.

So for a tempo run, I usually include the warmup and cooldown as part of hte tempo.

Now that it's as easy as just resetting my watch and having everything uploaded I'm even less likely to combine different workouts into the same one, but before the GPS integration was finished, I would have liked this feature.

        adamcondit,

The log requires that you enter each workout individually because that is needed to provide you with useful feedback.  If you lump the warmups, workouts and cooldowns together, the resulting data is not be meaningful.  Alternatively, I can add warmup and cooldown fields so that you can enter everything on one page, but the workouts will still be broken up into their components.  I have plans for that but can't get to it at the moment.
