nike+ import (Read 1541 times)

eric, I remember reading a thread once upon a time where you said you were thinking about adding Nike+ import support. I couldn't find that thread anymore cause there's no search... so I've started this new thread. I hope that's not too buggable. I've started using Nike+ and I love it, but I miss all the great graphs and details that runningahead keeps track of. Right now I'm having to keep track manually on runningahead and automatically on nikeplus.com. I came across this link today http://runpl.us/forum/discussion/273/sensor-problem-or-calibration-problem-grr/#Item_0 where some guys showed how they pulled the data from the ipod xml files and put them into excel graphs and matlab graphs. I thought maybe it would be a helpful reference for you if you're still looking to add the same type of functionality to this site. It's easy enough to get the xml files off the ipod in disk mode too. Anyway, it's just info in case you're interested. I don't know if you plan on doing any nike+ support in the future, but it'd WAY cool if you did. Smile sairez
Hi sairez, I'm definitely interested in adding supports for various monitoring devices. Right now, I'm working on something else. I would probably get to it by the middle of next year. Thanks for sending me the link! Oh, if you have an XML file from Nike+, could you send it to me so I can have something to play with when I get to it? Thanks! eric Smile
eric, Cool. I'm glad it's in the plan sometime Smile Here's my xml file from today http://www.visualmystique.com/saire/2006-11-19 16;25;38.xml Let me know if you have trouble downloading it. You'll probably have to right-click download the file rather than open it in the browser. Thanks! sairez
Thanks for the data file. I've added it to the request. eric Smile
+1 i just wanted to record my vote for this! also if you're feeling brave, you could save on having to code this feature and just provide us with an API to add runs, courses, shoes, other tweakable items from the training log.
            booyaa.org - what's he running from?
I'll consider the idea of creating an API to do that.
