Just wondering if it's possible? I tried to add a little formatting (mainly line breaks, bold, italics), but it doesn't appear to work.

Right now, the profile does not allow HTML formating. It's something I put in many months ago, so it's not updated to behave like the more recent features. However, I will be changing that so you can create your own home page some time in the near future.
