Thought I would post an article on our formerly-local runner Geoff Roes' effort in the Iditorod Trail Run. This is a 365 run bike or ski race that follows the Iditorod Trail. Its a long article go grab a cup of coffee or a beer. Makes me want to stick to my comfy 10Ks.

Run like you are on fire! 5K goal 24:00 or less (PR 24:34) 10K goal 50:00 or less (PR 52:45) HM goal 1:55:00 or less (PR 2:03:02) Marathon Goal...Less than my PR (PR 4:33:23)

Geoff Roes? Some unknown guy? Has he even ever run anything as long as a marathon or longer, before?

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

He is running a local 50k tomorrow. I am working an aid station (for smalcolm, who is the big cheese. Of the aid station. Not the race. Settle down.)

Thanks Crabby! I was reading his trail diary with photos and video clips of his endeavor just last night with great interest. IMO quite a courageous endeavor.

Use your momentum...keep going. You know you can make it.

Thanks for that, I'm a big fan, he's an amazing athlete and seems like a really humble guy.
