Forums > Health and Nutrition > Hemp Protein?
I've heard/read that protein is good for distance runners - aids in recovery, etc. A co-worker of mine (a trained medical Dr.) suggested that I give a hemp protein a try. Anyone every hear of this stuff? Is it a safe, effective suppliment?
Thanks,
Chris
I guess it's one way to increase the protein in brownies.

I suppose it should be good for anyone, not just distance runners. I bought some once but I didn't really like the flavor enough to continue. I too read that it's a very good source of protein.
I actually prefer salba seeds, mainly because it's seems to satisfy the appetite more. That, and it makes me feel ilke a Tarahumara!!
The type of Hemp protein I was told of comes in powder form and can be mixed with juice or other fluids. Guess a tablespoon is suppose to have 18 or 19 g of protein.
