Breaking all Illusions
Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.
Goals 2013:
Good job Zoomie! But what is HTFU?! I opened this thread with the anticipation of some censored language ... Can you run a 5k between now and the HM's? That should be a good predictor? There is a McMillan calculator wher you can predict race performance and set realistic goals.
Lynn, I seriously think that if I continue to train smart, the weather is good, and I am well-rested that my 2nd HM this year (late Oct.) could definitely be under 2. The first one is fairly hilly, so I'm just going to do what I can on that--plus I'm not certain it's a full 13.1...I think it's closer to 12.6 from what I've seen of the course map. k
Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head." - Joe Henderson
Now I'm kinda scared to do hill workouts, just for that reason.
