It's LibRary! There's an R in there!

Oh, it drives me nuts! I know that books are pretty much on their way out, and we've all got e-readers and tablets now, but it still makes me crazy to hear someone leave the R out when they speak of a collection of books. There is no such thing as a lie-berry; the word is library, and I'm sure your kindergarten teacher told you that a long long time ago. I just heard someone say this at work, and since I can't rant out loud at them, I decided to rant here. I think I am going to have to cross breed some berries just to patent the lie-berry!

While it used to irk me, I actually grew quite found of ol' GWs 'Nuc-u-lar' pronunciation...
