| Seeing as how gas is STILL increasing, I wanted to post some new numbers. For the past 2 fill ups, I've managed to get about 18.3 MPG. While not much compared to a Prius or even many non-hybrid cars, I think it's excellent for a mid size SUV that's 12 years old. |

| I have been riding my Cannondale R600 triple 6 miles one way to work whenever it doesn't rain. I probably won't do it in the winter. My wife has a Honda Fit Sport. We bought it in January 2007. I recently took it on a trip to Bentonville, Ark. (Wal-Mart-ville). I got 40 mpg driving at 70-75mph. We have been very happy with the FIT. It's small on the outside, but seems to be spacious enough on the inside. The seats (front and rear) move and fold a variety of ways which makes it very versiile inside. It's not got the greatest performance, but it's good enough that it's fun to drive. I would recommend it to anyonew that is looking for a good fuel-efficient car. |

| I just started riding my Specialized MTB to the office this week. It's only 4.2 miles each way so it doesn't take me too long to get there. Now I'm thinking I should have started doing this sooner. I did end up buying a rack and bag for the bike so that I can pack my lunch and work clothes on the back. |

Hey, any idea what the average fuel efficiency rating is? Hubby was just telling me that his job is doing some cash credits for those who buy cars that meet certain criteria, but he wasn't sure if the Fit was efficient enough (he thought it was avg. 35mpg). That's pretty much his #1 lust car...he still misses his little '89 Civic Si. |

My DH drives a Lexus RX 330 and I drive a Minivan ..I hardly ever fill up the van anymore on pure principle. I stop at $50.00- I think DH says I get 17/18 miles per gallon. More times than not we take his if we are doing family things anymore-So I can get a couple weeks before I have to fill mine again. |
| Running is a big question mark that's there each and every day. It asks you, 'Are you going to be a wimp or are you going to be strong today?

| I have a 2006 Honda Civic...I bought it because I want as good of gas mileage as possible and didnt want to pay too much for the car, and I wanted a car the should get me 200,000 miles (I think every penny spent on a car is a total waste of money - but your stuck with it).....Anyway - I have found that if I keep my highway speed to 60 and keep my eyes on the TAC (and keep the TAC below 2,000 rpms) that I can get between 38 and 40 MPG......which is as good as you will get without buying a hybred..... |
Goals:
Mileage to 30 MPW (Currently at 22 MPW Average)
Weight to 135 (currently 155)
5K in less then 27:00 - my last time was too slow to mention and not be embarrassed |
