I tried to scan through the other topics to make sure I wasn't asking something that I could already have help with, but I'm sure I missed one.

Nonetheless, I updated to Safari 4.0 - running Mac OS X 10.5.8

I updated my Garmin Plug-In - twice.

I still get this message:

GPS import currently supports the Garmin Forerunner GPS only and requires the Garmin Communicator Plugin.

Please follow the Garmin Installation Guide to connect your Forerunner to RunningAHEAD.

I will add support for other training devices such as Nike+ when I get hold of one.

Whenever I run the test from the Garmin page, it says everything is good to go.

Just looking for direction.

And, thanks for all your hard work Eric!

mrakers,

Did the Garmin page detect your GPS?  I can't think of any reason why RA won't detect it while Garmin can.  I don't have a Mac, but I tried it on the PC version of Safari and it worked properly.  One thing you can check is whether there are errors in the error console.  I can't remember if yo have to choose to install as part of the Safari installation process.

Does anyone have a similar problem?

Sorry for huge pictures, but this was my screen shot for both of the pages just to help. (By the way, I don't mind to manually put them in for a time, but I just do very minor web design and I'm very anal, so I can imagine you'd at least want to know.) Smile

Again, thanks for an awesome site.

mrakers,

Thanks for the screen shot.  I don't know what the problem is, other than RA can't talk to the Garmin plugin.  The only thing I can think of is try installing it again.  I know you've done it twice already but I'm grasping at straws.  Try removing the plugin first if possible.  Also, try forcing a refresh of the page.  Maybe you have stale files?

Eric,

I know this is like a week later (had to have some cosmetic work done on the good ole MacBook.)

I started having problems in the forums with the reply aspect. It would load and then leave the text box the same shade of green that surrounds the text box leaving me unable to type. (Although, if I forced a reload, it seemed to work then.)

Either way, my unprofessional conclusion was not that RA was causing the problems with the Garmin Plug-In, but Safari 4 was. I just downloaded Google Chrome and it recognized the plug-in immediately so I'm good to go there.

And obviously, I'm replying in the forum.

Just thought I'd let you know.

(As far as that being Safari 4-wide, I don't know. Maybe I just had a crappy download version of it?)

Oh, that's weird...I can't get Chrome and Communicator to play nice, but Safari 4 and Communicator play just fine...  Interesting that someone else is having the opposite problem.  I'm guessing it must be an OS thing, since I have 10.6.
