hubby and i have a friend who works for Whirlpool down in St joseph...he just passed along their latest "friends and family" sale information, and i thought i'd share the wealth with you guys too (gawd, i sound like a spammer...promise though, it's not!)...this sale could not have come at a better time- the appliances in our house seem determined to go on strike together! grr.

Niiice! Whirlpool is good stuff! Our washer and dryer are Sears Kenmore, which is actually Whirpool for pretty much all of Sears' laundry machines. We just had to replace our dryer after 10 good years and our washer is still going strong.

if i sell anyone, i'm gonna start with a certain 4 year old today....!
can you guess where our new badly needed dishwasher is going to come from?  I should have a dish cleaning party and invite everyone over! BYODD- Bring Your Own Dirty Dishes!!

Awww...crap. Whirlpool can bite me. Our 6 month old dryer appears to be dead...as I have a load of wet clothes and lots more stuff in need of washing and drying before I go to WI on Mon....

Oh, and my printer won't pull paper through...something seems to be jammed and we can't figure out what. I'm sure it has *nothing* whatsoever to do with a certain fatass 20+# cat who likes to sit on it when I'm not around to shoo him away. Dammit.

No it's not weird. BUT! I didn't go with the cherry red. I just posted those pics because I couldn't find the white version for the dryer. The white versions are $100 cheaper each. I ain't paying a premium for something I'll be kept in the basement (aka the dungeon). Besides, the white versions have ceramic tops versus painted tops for the cherry red. But yes, the reds are very pretty. And they're awesome machines. My friend has an LG washer and the chimes are louder than the rinse cycle!

Yep!
BTW, LG stuff is supposed to be VERY good. My dad does appliance repair and some sales (in addition to household electrical work--and he has his BS in Anthro.)...he really likes LG.
