Yup: www.tuscaloosarunner.blogspot.com

Part vanity project, no doubt, but mostly, it keeps me accountable and I can go back to it and get a sense of my training in a holistic way--mental, physical, and emotional. Plus, keeps me connected to other runners, as I'm often training alone--not much of running scene where I'm at.

Is there a way to "friend" someone else's blog? You know what I mean?

Actually, I don't know what you mean, though I expect others might. HOWEVER, I do know that not all these folks' blogs are on the same site. Different sites have different features, so no, they won't all behave the same way.

You can subscribe to blogs on some sites and get notified when they are updated. If you are looking to create a list of links for your friends' blogs so that you can remember them and click on them, then you can either collect them as favorites/bookmarks in your browser OR create your own mini-blog and hold the links there.

I started a blog once but soon realized that it was really boring and nobody cared. Now, if you have an interesting story to tell, like Blaine, srlopez or Trent for example, it might be worth the effort. But for most of us, the time is better spent on something more useful. I occasionally put a lot of effort into writing a race report if I think it will be of interest, and otherwise post day-to-day stuff in my favorite User Group here on RA.
