Muddy Mudskipper
Allie Woodward just finished her senior year at Green Bay Notre Dame in my state of WI. I got to interview her and her coach, John Gard. Here's what they said.
Allie Woodward Interview
John Gard Interview
Two quick facts that you might find interesting. Allie ran a 10k road race this summer in 34:18. That's reeeally fast. I think the University of Oregon will like her. Coach Gard ran a 3:06 recently in the marathon. He's in his mid 40's I think.
Story Time
Nice to have a stud runner from my town. I have been following her the last couple years. She is just a newbie also. I ran a 5K race on the 4th of July and she probably did it as a training run. She ran it around 17 min and change and it starts with a big ass hill so no PRs on this course. During my last quater mile she ran back to help a friend run in. She is simply RIPPED! You can see all 4 layers of her abs muscles with very thin skin. Of course I had to check it out - what a specimen she is - has to be 10% bodyfat. I am curious to see what distances she starts at. She won state in the 1600 last year and finished second this year by hundreds of one second. She won the 3200 last year and no one was in the ball park this year close to her in the 3200 .I think she will do awesome in the 5,000m and 10,000m and one day be a marathoner.
