SELFISH, like you.
Thanks for all the cotton t-shirts. Really, thanks but it shouldn't be an obligation to give them out. I just don't know what to do with them any more. Unless they are good quality and well designed I'm probably not going to wear them for anything short of painting the house or sleeping. I've donated many.
So, why bother? I know it's a convent place to park sponsors' logos. I also know it can be a pain in the ass to order and manage sizes. But really, why bother??
I have a solution. It's one size fits all. It's unisex!

Now, get on it!

I don't know, I am running out of cotton race shirts new enough to not be embarrassed wearing thm out in public. A combination of me not running enough races and the increasing use of tech shirt...which I have too many of.
2013 goals: Kick some arse. Moreso than 2012.

But...I have a closet full of technical running shirts! And a cabinet full of pint glasses. I need me something to wear when I'm not running.

I have too many pint glasses already and I never use them.
How about they give out nothing and cut the reg fees?
We’ll pick ourselves up. We’ll keep going. We will finish the race.

Funny, I thought there was a new trend towards this. I got 2 beer glasses at races this year. One was in lieu of a shirt at entry, the other was a age group prize instead of a medal. Both are pretty cool and in the beer glass rotation for the time being.
Still, I agree about the design of shirts, and gotta say the graphics on the glasses are only slightly better. And if I got 5-10 of these at races next year, I think I might be longing for a cool t shirt.
OK, let's groupthink and come up with the perfect give away to commemorate race participation.
How about for all runners:
- personalized long sleeve tech shirt
- cotton shirt for those folks who are old school
- second old school cotton shirt for those who suffered through the race the prior year
- keepsake chip
- silicone Silipint pint glass full of local craftbeer
- unique wooden medal
- personalized bib
- Hatch showprint poster
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
Poor baby
Yeah, okay, so the poster was an extra.

All this to trick people into running the Monkey. Those poor suckers.

Running is stupid. Running the Monkey is even more stupiderer.

A fellow Nashvillian? I agree a Hatch poster at more races (at least races in Tennessee) would be really awesome.

Screw the glass...give me the beer. And by definition, that excludes anything with Ultra or Light/Lite in the name.

Is there a beer with any of those words that is a good beer? (serious question)
