re: Group name contains invalid characters
What are the rules for what characters are allowable in group names?
I'm just curious.
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

I don't actually know the answer. Just trail and error.
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
Poor baby
Just trail and error.
"Trail and Error" should be the name of an ultra training group.

I haven't touched that code for so long that I don't remember all the rules. I think it's
- must start with a letter
- cannot have two non-alphanumeric characters in a row
- cannot be longer than a certain length
What's the name you're trying to create?

I'm guessing it may have a highly restricted definition of letter -- I've noticed several non-English letters getting refused.
I know some groups that have characters in them.
I was wondering when we'd get to this....
UMLAUT MORE

Gratuitous Umlaüt (a band name for you)

That's an example of an illegal group name character.
Also ` (backquote). Also 甲.Also 跑.
I should probably reiterate that I was merely curious, like the kid who saw the boarded up gate, and wanted to know what was on the other side.
BTW, colons are illegal also (e.g., "18:36").
I was kind of wondering if only a subset of basic ASCII was allowed -- which happen to be the letters that cover English and Hawaiian and Latin, I believe.
